FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Benthos Health?

Benthos Health is a healthcare company focused on weight-management treatment. We connect people with licensed healthcare professionals who evaluate whether treatment is appropriate, and we publish educational content to help people understand their options.

How does online treatment work?

You complete an online health intake, a licensed healthcare professional reviews it and determines whether treatment is appropriate, and — if it is — next steps are explained clearly, followed by ongoing care. See how it works for the full walkthrough.

Does completing an intake guarantee a prescription?

No. An intake starts a clinical evaluation. A licensed healthcare professional decides whether treatment is appropriate based on your specific situation — completing a form does not guarantee any particular outcome.

Who makes treatment decisions?

Licensed healthcare professionals make all treatment decisions. Benthos Health's role is to make that evaluation accessible and easy to understand — not to make clinical decisions itself.

Can I learn about treatment before starting?

Yes — that's a big part of why our Learn library exists. You can read about how GLP-1 medications work, what to expect, and what affects cost, with no account or commitment required.

Where is Benthos Health available?

Benthos Health's clinical network covers all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Guam. Whether care is available to an individual patient still depends on a licensed clinician being available in the patient's location and on that clinician's evaluation.

How much does treatment cost?

Pricing depends on your treatment plan and is confirmed during your intake, before you're ever asked to pay. See our pricing page for what tends to affect cost, and try our cost calculator for a more personalized sense of it.
